Bowling for Life (CTeen Connection)
This past week we had a bowl-a-thon, raising money for Chai Lifeline and Friendship Circle. Our chapter raised almost $2,250 in 3 weeks, breaking our record of $1,250 last year! I am blessed to be apart of such a fantastic group of teens. Through asking our family and friends for donations, we were each able to take part in fundraising. Then the hard part came, bowling! Although some of us may not be the best bowlers we all had the greatest time and had a lot of laughs. Everyone in my chapter did the same in my opinion in regards to fundraising. Whether someone raises $20 or 500 we all did our part, and for that we learned the significance of mitzvahs. Chai Lifeline and Friendship Circle has a very close relationship to my chapter. As we try to partner up and do events with Friendship Circle, raising money for them felt terrific. Also, after speaking to a lovely, young lady from Chai Lifeline, we all realized our impact on the charity through the money we raised. Being able to give kids the opportunity for their wishes to come true was heartwarming, and it came with great joy. CTeen allows me to help out not just my Jewish community, but everyone who needs it.
As a leader, it really honors me I have a chapter who is caring, charitable, and overall spectacular people. Thank G-d for another fantastic event, and we are looking forward to more!
